Alumni Stories

Since graduating, Tammy Kohn has worked at Jewish cultural institutions, from Yad Vashem in Jerusalem and the Jewish Museum in New York to the Metropolitan Museum. She currently serves as the director of the Jewish Museum of Buenos Aires. Tammy focuses on using exhibitions and research to tell stories that connect people to their history and identity.

Tammy remembers the Hebrew University as her home for four years, where she completed her dual BA in Art History and Jewish Thought, made friends who became family, learned Hebrew, and fell in love with research. “I can’t forget the campus, the buildings, the classrooms, or the incredible relationships I had with my professors, many of whom I’m still in touch with today,” she says.
