Join us as we spotlight acclaimed Israeli and Canadian authors in a celebration of storytelling that unites us all.


Lihi Lapid is an internationally acclaimed bestselling author and a prominent voice on contemporary women’s issues. Her book I Wanted to Be Wonderful became a USA Today bestseller, and her latest novel, On Her Own, is published by HarperCollins.


For over 15 years, she wrote a popular weekly column in Israel’s leading newspaper, reflecting on motherhood, career, and identity. A passionate advocate for inclusion, Lapid serves as President of SHEKEL and is a leading activist for people with disabilities.


Pnina Pinchevsky is a graduate of the Hebrew University School of Social Work with over 25 years of experience as a social worker and psychotherapist. She completed advanced training at the Argyle Institute, where she later joined the teaching staff.


Specializing in trauma, loss, grief, and resilience, she continues her work in private practice and has facilitated support groups for young adults. An avid reader, she has been a dedicated member of a Montreal book club since 2006.
